Alaa has 25 years of varied experience in driving strategic business development initiatives in customer experience, sales operations and human capital strategic management, with a special focus on HR strategy, organisational transformation, corporate culture, and change management. His most recent job was CHRO for G4S, KSA, where he headed the HR Department in a company with varied business operations run by 16,000 employees.


Alaa has managed two HR transformation projects, where he used his extensive experience to assess, design and implement effective programmes aimed at enabling HR to be a trusted business partner that is both commercially savvy and business oriented. He has been actively participating in the HR community activities taking place in the Gulf Region (where he has been working for the past 11 years) in light of the economic reforms, which are leading most companies to revise and revamp their operating models.


Alaa’s other accomplishments include establishing a full-fledged HR communication strategy, using innovative solutions to reach employees through all possible channels and media, steering an Employer Branding programme, as well as representing HR in all strategic business initiatives, such as reorganisation structures, leadership development, M&A, and corporate branding. Alaa is a CIPD certified HR practitioner, UK; and has a Business Strategy for HR Leaders Certificate from INSEAD, France.


After heading several senior positions in a number of multinational organisations, he is now a freelance consultant who is moving regularly between Egypt and the UK, where he’s recently established his own business.
